Meet the Team
Brad Buehring - Music Designer
Brad Buehring holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance (Percussion) and a Masters Degree in Music Composition from the University of Louisville. While in school, Brad performed regularly with the New Music Ensemble, University Orchestra, Wind Symphony, and Percussion Ensemble. During his marching years, he performed with the six time World Champion Music City Mystique Winter Drumline as well as with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps of Dubuque, IA, and the Phantom Legion Drum and Bugle Corps of Rockford, IL. Brad has acted as an arranger, designer, consultant, and educator for several high schools, drum corps, independent indoor ensembles, and the Yamaha Sounds of Summer Camp. He has acted as the Bass Drum technician, Music Director, and Percussion Co-Caption Head for the Americanos Drum and Bugle Corps of Menasha, WI. As an active member of the Vic Firth education team, Brad currently instructs the drumlines at Eastern High School in Louisville and Floyd Central High School in southern Indiana. He is also an independent filmmaker and composer based in the Louisville area.
Dan Duffield - Music Designer
Dan has been an active performer and educator throughout Iowa and much
of the Midwest. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Percussion
Performance and Education from the University of Iowa where during his
schooling he acted as the Percussion Director for City High School in
Iowa City, IA, and assisted the Davenport Central High School Marching
Blue Devils from Davenport, IA. Dan obtained his Master’s Degree in
Percussion Performance from the University of South Dakota. He has held
positions as an adjunct professor in music for both Northwestern
College, and Buena Vista University. Dan worked with several schools in
the Los Angeles area while completing an internship with Yamaha
Corporation of America's Band and Orchestral Division. He has been a
student of many fine percussion educators such as Dan Moore, Darin
Wadley, Michael Spiro, Dave Samuels, Dick Sisto, Jim Dreier, Liam
Teague, Los Muñequitos de Motanzas, and several others. As an active
member of the Vic Firth Education Team, Dan has taught numerous clinics,
classes, and private lessons for students of all levels. He has acted as
a designer, arranger, and educator for the Americanos Drum and Bugle
Corps of Menasha, WI, and for the Kilties Senior Drum and Bugle Corps of
Racine, WI. Dan was a member of both the Nite Express and Colts Drum and
Bugle Corps. Currently, Dan holds a teaching position with the Waco
Independent School District in Waco, TX.
Mike Fogarty - Music Designer
Mike is a graduate of the University of Illinois where he earned a
Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. Though originally an oboe and
piano player, Mike has been putting his music on the marching field
since he was in high school. He performed with the Colts Drum and Bugle
Corps as a mallet percussionist. Mr. Fogarty has written wind and
percussion arrangements for a number of schools across the country. He
also has acted as a designer, arranger, and educator for the Americanos
Drum and Bugle Corps from Menasha, WI as well as the Kilties Senior Drum
and Bugle Corps of Racine, WI. Mike continues to teach camps and clinics
throughout the Chicago suburbs while also performing with various
ensembles. He currently maintains a music position at the Oswego schools
in the southwest suburbs of Chicago.
Ted Reicher - Visual Designer
Ted Reicher, the old guy on the staff, has been writing and teaching
drill for competitive bands, drum corps, and winter guards for over 20
years. For several years he acted as the Director of Bands and Chairman
of the Music Department at Davenport Central High School in Davenport,
IA. Under Mr.Reicher¹s direction, the marching band, three concert bands
and jazz bands at Central received straight Division I ratings at the
Iowa High School Music Association Festivals. Central¹s Marching Blue
Devils is the only band from Iowa to compete in the Bands of America
Grand National and Regional Championships. Mr. Reicher is an active
composer and arranger, and maintains a private brass studio for students
in the Quad Cities area. He is active in the Iowa Bandmasters
Association, Southeast Iowa Bandmasters Association, the International
Trumpet Guild, and is sought after as a clinician for marching bands
throughout the Midwest. On the side, Mr. Reicher is an avid golfer,
carrying a scratch handicap for anyone looking for a game!
Sherry Stone - Visual Designer
Sherry Stone has been a performer, instructor, and choreographer of
color guard for over fifteen years. She marched drum and bugle corps for
nine years spending five years performing with the Phantom Regiment of
Rockford, IL. Sherry is well versed in dance and movement having taken
dance classes as an adolescent and continuing as a student at the
University of Iowa, as well as being taught by multiple instructors
throughout the country while performing with drum corps. Sherry has
instructed drum corps and many high school color guards in Iowa,
Wisconsin, and Missouri. In addition, she is sought after to judge for
competition shows. Color guards that she has choreographed and
instructed have received excellent ratings along with top color guard
achievements. Sherry loves to attend drum corps shows every summer for
entertainment, and to keep current with the marching medium. Sherry
holds a bachelor of science in biology, and as her full time job, works
in an infectious disease laboratory. She is married to a former Madison
Scout percussionist and they have a two-year old little girl who also
loves to dance and spin her very own two-foot flag!
Nick Wilson - Visual Designer
Nick holds degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of
Iowa, where he also studied ballet and modern dance. Nick has had a long
career as a performer in all of the performing arts, including music,
theatre, dance, and the pageantry arts. From 2001 to 2003, Nick was a
member of the color guard for The Cavaliers, from Rosemont, IL. During
that time the corps won two national championships, set the record for
the highest score in DCI, earned a perfect score in color guard, and
also held the longest winning streak in drum corps history. Nick was a
member of the Pride of Cincinnati Winter Guard in 2005, which is when
the group earned its second WGI championship title. As an instructor,
Nick has worked with groups of all levels. Recently, he has served as a
technician for the 2005 Scholastic World bronze medalist, Miamisburg
High School from Miamisburg, OH, and instructs the Bluecoats Drum and
Bugle Corps from Canton, OH. Nick is currently attending medical school
in the Cleveland, OH area.
