About Us
Pulse Productions is a team of professional designers and educators whose combined experience spans over 50 years! Our mission is to help all members of your ensemble reach their full potential, while giving you a product of your own vision in a creative and innovative way. We are unlike anything else on the market.

Meet the Team
Brad Buehring - Music Designer
Brad Buehring holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance (Percussion) and a Masters Degree in Music Composition from the University of Louisville. While in school, Brad performed regularly with the New Music Ensemble, University Orchestra, Wind Symphony, and Percussion Ensemble. During his marching years, he performed with the six-time World Champion Music City Mystique Winter Drumline as well as with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps of Dubuque, IA, and the Phantom Legion Drum and Bugle Corps of Rockford, IL. Brad has acted as an arranger, designer, consultant, and educator for several high schools, drum corps, independent indoor ensembles, and the Yamaha Sounds of Summer Camps. He has acted as the Bass Drum technician, Music Director, and Percussion Co-Caption Head for the Americanos Drum and Bugle Corps of Menasha, WI. Brad is an active member of the Vic Firth education team. At the high school level Brad has acted as the Percussion Director for the drumlines at Eastern High School in Louisville, KY and Floyd Central High School in southern Indiana. Currently, Brad is an independent filmmaker and composer based in the Brooklyn area of New York.

Dan Duffield - Music Designer
Dan has been an active performer and educator throughout the country. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Percussion Performance and Education from the University of Iowa where during his schooling he acted as the Percussion Director for City High School in Iowa City, IA, and assisted the Davenport Central High School Marching Blue Devils from Davenport, IA. Dan obtained his Master’s Degree in Percussion Performance from the University of South Dakota. He has held positions as an adjunct professor in music for both Northwestern College, and Buena Vista University. Dan worked with several schools in the Los Angeles area while completing an internship with Yamaha Corporation of America's Band and Orchestral Division. He has been a student of many fine percussion educators such as Dan Moore, Darin Wadley, Michael Spiro, Dave Samuels, Dick Sisto, Jim Dreier, Liam Teague, Los Muñequitos de Motanzas, and several others. As an active member of the Vic Firth Education Team, Dan has taught numerous clinics, classes, and private lessons for students of all levels. He has acted as a designer, arranger, and educator for the Americanos Drum and Bugle Corps of Menasha, WI, and for the Kilties Senior Drum and Bugle Corps of Racine, WI. Dan was a member of both the Nite Express and Colts Drum and Bugle Corps. Currently, Dan holds a teaching position with the Waco Independent School District in Waco, TX.

Mike Fogarty - Music Designer
Mike is a band director and professional musician in the Chicagoland area. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. Though originally an oboe and piano player, Mike has been putting his music on the marching field since he was in high school. He performed with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps as a mallet percussionist. Mr. Fogarty has written wind and percussion arrangements for a number of schools across the country. He also has acted as a designer, arranger, and educator for the Americanos Drum and Bugle Corps from Menasha, WI, as well as the Kilties Senior Drum and Bugle Corps of Racine, WI. Mike continues to teach camps and clinics throughout the Midwest while also guest conducting and performing with various ensembles. He currently teaches middle school band in suburban Romeoville, Illinois, and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Music Education from VanderCook College in Chicago, IL.

John Kizilarmut – Music Designer
John holds a Bachelor’s of Science and Education in Instrumental Music degree from Northwest Missouri State University and a Master’s in Percussion Performance-Jazz Emphasis degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He has performed and recorded with a wide range of artists, from Shirley Jones and Les Brown Jr., to the Grammy-award winning DJ Starscream. John has been a performer and educator for both the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps from Dubuque, IA as well as the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps from Lacrosse, WI. He is also an active composer and arranger, and his works have been featured throughout the Midwest. John has worked on the faculties of Northwestern Missouri State University, Drake University, Grinnell College, and has been sought after as a clinician for the University of Texas Austin, Iowa State University, University of Northern Iowa, as well as East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. John is currently a Lecturer in Music at Grinnell College, and a resident teaching artist at Drake University in Des Moines, IA. He performs and teaches regularly throughout the Midwest.

Jeremy Meyer – Music Designer
Jeremy Meyer is an active performer, educator, and arranger throughout Missouri, and much of the Midwest. He holds a Bachelor’s of Instrumental Music Education degree from Northwest Missouri State University. While in school Jeremy performed regularly with the Wind Symphony, Orchestra, Jazz Ensembles, and the Bearcat Marching Band. He has been a member and educator for the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps from Dubuque, IA. Jeremy regularly performs throughout the Springfield, MO area. He is an accomplished pianist and is an acting worship pastor, music minister, and worship director for Marshfield First Baptist Church in Marshfield, MO. Jeremy resides in Marshfield, MO with his family where he also teaches, percussion, concert band, jazz band, and jazz combo for the Marshfield R-1 school district.

Ted Reicher - Visual Designer

Ted Reicher is a composer, arranger and visual designer for bands and drum corps throughout the United States with over 40 original marching compositions and hundreds of visual designs to his credit. Formerly a band director of 21 years, his bands consistently ranked at the top of competitions throughout the Midwest and were competitive on the national level. He is increasingly sought after as a clinician/consultant for marching bands and has a reputation for quickly recognizing and addressing marching, music and visual design issues and implementing solutions. Programs that utilize Mr. Reicher as a regular staff member or consultant have found his techniques free up considerable amounts of rehearsal time and allow for a higher degree of performance excellence from their students. Ted resides in Davenport, IA and is married to his wife Ann. He is also an avid golfer and is always looking for a good game!

Chris Sakowski – Music Designer
Chris received his Bachelor’s of Music Education degree from the University of Memphis where during his tenure he also acted as the caption head and arranger for the U of M Drumline. There he also performed as a soloist with the U of M orchestra having won their concerto contest. Chris’s DCI/WGI percussion experience includes: both marching and teaching at the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps, as well as teaching with the Bluecoats, the Crossmen (serving as Percussion Co-Caption Head for the 2010 season) and with the Cavaliers, winning the Fred Sanford Award for Best Percussion at the 2011 DCI World Championships. Chris has been involved with WGI World Class Finalist, Gateway Indoor in several roles as an instructor, battery caption head, music coordinator, and front ensemble arranger. He has adjudicated and arranged for both percussion and winds across the United States and abroad. He has enjoyed heading workshops as a clinician at the University of Oklahoma, Iowa State University, Missouri State University and the University of Memphis as well as a featured clinician in Weymouth, England at the British Youth Band Association Convention. Some groups Chris has written for include: Memphis Sound Drum & Bugle Corps, Forte Drum & Bugle Corps, Missouri State University, the NFL’s St. Louis Rams Drumline, and the 2005 European Indoor Percussion Champions: 37th Kingswood from Bristol, United Kingdom. Currently, Chris lives in the St. Louis, MO area where he teaches string orchestra, band and guitar in the "Nationally-Recognized" Rockwood School District and has twice been nominated for "Teacher of the Year". Chris is proud to be an Innovative Percussion Artist.

Tim Snyder – Music Designer
Tim taught for 6 years at Shelby County HS in Shelbyville, KY as the director of the jazz program. During his time there, Tim grew that program to an award winning level, most recently being invited to perform at the Kentucky School Official Conference as the premier ensemble. He was a part of the brass staff for Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. Since 2010 Tim has served as the assistant Brass Caption Head of the Madison Scouts brass team. Tim is an avid composer and arranger with several works performed on a regular basis. He has performed across the United States with such venerable touring acts as the The Moody Blues. Tim has also held principal tuba positions with the Paducah Symphony, Jackson Symphony as well as a substitute position with the Evansville Symphony. Tim is also an adjudicator in Kentucky and surrounding states. As one of the founders of Box 5 Productions, Tim and his wife Robin, focus on pageantry arts videos and audio recordings throughout the country. Box 5 Productions has produced the Drum Corps Associates World Championships and Bands of America Grand National Championships as well as over 10 other state championship level events from across the nation. Tim currently lives in Louisville, KY with his wife and two children.

Sherry Stone - Visual Designer

Sherry has been a performer, instructor, and choreographer of color guard for nearly twenty years. She marched drum and bugle corps for nine years performing with the Nite Express Drum and Bugle Corps, Colts Drum and Bugle Corps and spent her last five years performing with the Phantom Regiment of Rockford, IL. Sherry is well versed in dance and movement having taken dance classes as an adolescent and continuing as a student at the University of Iowa, as well as being taught by multiple instructors throughout the country while performing with drum corps. Sherry has instructed drum corps and many high school color guards throughout the Midwest. In addition, she is sought after to judge for competition shows. Color guards that she has choreographed and instructed have received excellent ratings along with top color guard achievements. She loves to attend drum corps shows every summer for entertainment, and to keep current with the marching medium. Sherry holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from St. Ambrose University, and also works as a home health aide. She is married to a former Madison Scout percussionist and has a little girl who also loves to dance and spin her very own two-foot flag!

Nick Wilson - Visual Designer
Nick holds degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of Iowa, where he also studied ballet and modern dance. Nick has had a long career as a performer in all of the performing arts, including music, theatre, dance, and the pageantry arts. From 2001 to 2003, Nick was a member of the color guard for The Cavaliers, from Rosemont, IL. During that time the corps won two national championships, set the record for the highest score in DCI, earned a perfect score in color guard, and also held the longest winning streak in drum corps history. Nick was a member of the Pride of Cincinnati Winter Guard in 2005, which is when the group earned its second WGI championship title. As an instructor, Nick has worked with groups of all levels. Recently, he has served as a technician for the 2005 Scholastic World bronze medalist, Miamisburg High School from Miamisburg, OH, and instructs the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps from Canton, OH. Nick is currently attending medical school in the Cleveland, OH area.
