The Road Less Traveled
This is a program everyone can enjoy - judges, students, and fans alike - with a variety of musical genres to captivate any audience. The 'road' theme is used visually throughout the show as members weave paths in and out, and students rotate their horns from left to right as if the sound is 'passing' you on the highway. The opener is taken from an entrancing minimalist film score by Thomas Newman for the film Revolutionary Road. The production number makes a great contrast and uses themes from Ferde Grofe's Grand Canyon Suite: On the Trail to paint a fun vignette using your band as the characters. And close with a big, swinging, jazz standard - Route 66 to let your extraordinary students shine, and give the whole band a chance to let loose! Take the Road Less Traveled this year with Pulse Productions.
